Every Citizen, Church and Church leader from across the borough is welcome to come together united in One Place, under One God, for One night celebrating God’s work through His Church in Lewisham:
After the great success of the Lewisham Churches United (LCU) joint event over the last few years, we are excited to be able to invite you to the LCU main event of 2015 taking place on the evening of Pentecost Sunday 24th May.
This year’s event will primarily focus on a night of what we are calling ‘Big Worship’ as a testimony to the world that for Christians the unified praise and worship of our Lord is far Bigger than our denominational differences. On the night as well as Christians from across the borough gathering to passionately worship our Lord Jesus, there will also be a segment bringing awareness to and praying over the crisis of human trafficking.

Last year’s event was a great success! Here’s what the National Evangelical Alliance wrote about last year’s event:
The multicultural worship team with representatives from six churches rocked the theatre with vibrant praise and worship, interspersed with prayer on topics including peace, welfare reforms, young people and church leaders.”
Questions and Answers about the event
Is this a formal event or can I wear more casual attire?
Whether you are more comfortable in a suit, or more comfortable in jeans and trainers it really doesn’t matter at all what you decide to wear, as we are simply aiming to join together with a primary focus on praise and prayer.
Can I bring my children?
Although there is no crèche or kids Church on the night, you are still most welcome to bring your entire family, so we can all be in the Holy Spirit led atmosphere of unified prayer and praise.
I want to tell my Church leaders about the event and also invite my friends along on the night. Where can I get more marketing information like an e-flyer?
Simply contact us via email and put in a request for what you need or download a pdf of our flyer by clicking here.
My Church has not told me about this event can anyone come along?
Perhaps you could let your Church leaders know about the event just in case for some reason they are not on our mailing list. If your Church is happy for you to come along, then please feel welcome to come and let’s pray and praise together!
Is the event free or do I have to register in advance or pay at the door?
There is no entry fee for this event, entrance is free.
